This is the type of project love to do. The homeowner showed us a picture of a fireplace mantle, and asked us to replicate the details. A drawing, made for the owner’s approval, showed the details and proportions of the proposed mantle. After removing the brick corbels, the important task was to create a flat and plumb foundation around which we would build the mantle. The rest of the job was straightforward – measure, cut, fit and nail.
