This piece of art work weighed in excess of 75 pounds. Using wire attached to the back of the piece, and a hook screwed into the wall, was out of the question. We had to come up with a way to support the piece at the studs, and allow for shifting the piece horizontally to fine tune its position.

  • The picture was made on a partial sheet of 3/4” plywood. Quite heavy.
  • We built a rail, with clips, that would be attached to the piece.
  • The rail is attached to the back of the artwork.
  • Its mate is attached to the studs in the wall.
  • The rails engage and the artwork is hung.
